I have complied a list below of all my tried and tested foundations, over the years that I have found matched my skin tone in a MAC NC42 foundation. So, it isn't surprising that I have a long list of tried and tested foundations, along with the correct shades that were the equivalent to the MAC studio fix foundation (that I original started with).
I also compiled a vigorous search for ones that could cover skin pigmentation and acne scarring. In the winter, I would look for a hydrating foundation, whereas in the summer I would opt for an oil-free mattifying liquid. As my skin type changed so did the foundations and requirements.
